CONSULTATIONS

A speech-language therapy consultation is an initial meeting to assess communication strengths or challenges. The first step in understanding an individual's speech or communication skills involves gathering information through observation, previous evaluations/assessments, and/or questionnaires to develop an individualized therapy plan with achievable outcomes.

EVALUATIONS

Comprehensive evaluations are more thorough assessments that include extensive parent or client interviews, observations, and standardized and/or non-standardized testing.

A full assessment will guide the development of a personalized plan, which includes goals, evaluation results, and recommendations to support your child’s communication skills.

Parent involvement is encouraged throughout the process to ensure collaboration and understanding of your child’s therapeutic goals and recommendations.
